Our Team
Sarah Winn
Sarah is a Program Director at ImpactX, working on projects focused on smart city innovation, green infrastructure investment and protecting the environment and natural resources to make our cities sustainable, prosperous and resilient for the future. She works with the Resilient Cities Network and is passionate about helping our Ku- ring-gai community transition to a low carbon future.
Sarah has been a small business owner, practised in corporate and commercial law and has spent the past years working for not for profits and Ku-ring- gai community groups.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts (ANU) Japanese & German, Bachelor of Laws (Hons) (UTS), professional certificates in Transitioning Businesses to Net Zero (University of Cambridge), Sustainability: Opportunities for Industries (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Carbon Accounting & Reduction (Terra.do) and is completing an AICD certificate in governance, risk, financial performance and strategy.
Gavin Burton
Gavin is a senior executive, who with his family of three sons has lived in Ku-ring-gai for ten years. He is a supporter from the sidelines for his son's Lindfield Football Club team and now his wife's Gordon Football Club team. In the past he's mentored in the Big Sister Big Brother program.
His motto in both his professional and personal life is Execution, Results, Quality, and Ethics and he's known for being a hands-on ‘roll-up-your-sleeves’ manager and leader. He is also the husband and supporter of Sarah and host of exchange students in their home from Italy, Korea, Germany, Switzerland, the USA and Japan.
Credentials: MBA (MGSM), BEng in Civil Engineering (Hon) and Senior Executive Program, London Business School.
